Here you will find updates on what the school is proposing to do to mark its 500th anniversary.
Activities to date
- 2012 Committee established to coordinate activities
- The qunicentenary 'year' to run from September 2011 - Sept 2012 (possibly using Founders Day 2011 to launch the year of celebration)
- A History of WGS commemorative book has been commissioned. The author is currently working on the first draft (proposed publication date, autumn 2011)
Letters to: the Queen / Lord Mayor of London have been issued, inviting them to attend during the year to provide a focal point for the celebration.
Class reunions
The first reunion planned in the lead up to 2012 is now being organised....
The 1990 Reunion - 20 years on!
Saturday 24th April, 12 noon for 12:30pm
Join me, Nic Anderson, in celebrating 20 years since we left WGS in a reunion lunch. Please contact others from our year – the more we can bring along, the better the event will be.
