Masterclass coaching from the professionals

Cricketing youngsters will be able to take tips from the professionals during a weekend of cricket masterclasses which are taking place at Wolverhampton Grammar School on 5th and 6th December.

The League Cricket Association (LCA), directed by current Surrey CCC opening bowler, Richard Logan has opened up its services for one weekend only in Wolverhampton. Logan, himself a former WGS student, believes the masterclasses are a perfect opportunity for juniors across the region to interact with professional cricketers and get introduced to skills and drills used by the pro’s.

“My years as a junior at WGS, as well as playing for Staffordshire were some of the best of my life and they certainly gave me the opportunity to get to the level I am at today,” states Richard. “These courses are my way of giving something back to the region and to help youngsters realise their potential”.

Richard Logan has taken 135 first class wickets in a professional career spanning more than 10 years. Whilst attending Wolverhampton Grammar School, Richard represented England at U19 level. The LCA will bring along a quartet of current and ex-professional cricketers for the weekend master classes. Places are strictly limited to 20 per course to ensure the highest quality of coaching.

The LCA Bowling Masterclass will take place 9:30am – 12:30pm on Saturday 5th December
The LCA Batting Masterclass will take place 1:00pm – 4:00pm on Sunday 6th December
