Senior and Sixth Form School Uniform

Students in Years 7 to 11 wear the WGS School Uniform. In Year 8 students are presented with their House tie at the House Reveal, this replaces their red school tie worn in the first year of Senior School. As students move into the Sixth Form the school uniform changes to smart business attire and House ties continue to be worn by both boys and girls.

We expect all our students to be smartly dressed and wear their school uniform with pride. Please refer to the information below before purchasing school uniform. The WGS Friends (PTA) also run a pre-loved uniform shop if you would like to look at any second-hand uniform, please email friends@wgs-sch.net.

Shop Opening Hours

As from Monday 6th November through to early March 2024, Premier Sports opening hours will be as followed.

  • Thursday and Friday - 10.00am to 4.00pm

  • Saturday 10.00am to 12.00pm
  • Sunday and Monday - Closed
  • Tuesday and Wednesday - Closed but can acommodate any urgent requirements through an appointment basis only. Appointments will be between 10am and 12pm.

Ages 11 - 16

Many new students join us in Year 7 and benefit from a full induction ahead of starting. The House system from Year 8 upwards is an extension of our pastoral care and central to school life. Our students consistently perform well in GCSE and A Level examinations and we are extremely proud of them.

Ages 16 - 18

As young adults, our Sixth Formers enjoy studying and socialising in their own Sixth Form Centre, bringing with it greater independence, support from the Sixth Form team and House tutors, the advantages of small teaching groups, and the opportunity to take on leadership and volunteer roles.
