To mark this significant anniversary in the school’s history, students from both the Junior & Infants and Senior School had a unique opportunity to leave their mark in history as part of our 150-year celebrations.
All students were invited to design a new stained-glass window for Big School. There were 288 entries in total from Junior and Senior students; with nine Junior and 12 Senior designs being shortlisted.
The final judging panel included the Head, Head of Art and an artist from Ark Stained Glass – the company who are producing our new stained-glass window.
After careful consideration of all designs, including how the Junior and Senior sections of the window would sit together in Big School as one overall window, three students were chosen.
Congratulations to Stanley – Year 6, Gabriela – Year 7, and Azim – Lower Sixth.
Our winning students were invited to Ark Stained Glass, based in Worcester, on Wednesday 25th June for a tour of the workshop and see the new window being produced.
The two winning designs were unveiled by Lord Lieutenant of West Midlands in October 2025, in honor of our milestone anniversary.

Congratulations to our three winning students! Their designs will be a lasting legacy in Big School for the next 150 years and more.
