Set in 25 acres of beautiful grounds, Wolverhampton Grammar School combines the heritage of 19th century stunning architecture with a modern range of facilities.

Wolverhampton Grammar School is located on the west side of the city, close to major roads, motorway and mainline train links to Birmingham, Manchester and London. Our campus is within easy reach of the city centre, wider West Midlands, Staffordshire and Shropshire.

Our site includes playing fields and a Sports Centre with access to a range of different facilities including cricket nets, squash, badminton, netball and basketball, a fitness gym and fives courts. Our on-site Hutton Theatre and Viner Art Gallery provide stunning spaces for the performing arts and exhibitions. Big School with its wooden panelling and stained glass windows offers an element of grandeur and is a perfect backdrop for concerts and large-scale events.

Hire a Facility

Facilities are available for the general public or clubs to hire during evening and weekend and school holiday periods however availability is currently limited as we have a number of regular hirers.

Former students wishing to return to our “Big School” for wedding receptions and family celebrations are welcome to make an enquiry.

If required, WiFi is available across our site and catering can be provided on-site, as well as a licensed bar and dedicated parking facilities.

    Join our Junior & Infants

    Ages 4 – 11

    Children thrive under our exceptional pastoral care, award-winning leadership and outstanding learning opportunities. Class sizes are deliberately small and classrooms are bright and airy, creating a wonderful learning environment for all.

    Join our Senior School

    Ages 11 – 16

    Many new students join us in Year 7 and benefit from a full induction ahead of starting. The House system from Year 8 upwards is an extension of our pastoral care and central to school life. Our students consistently perform well in GCSE and A Level examinations and we are extremely proud of them.

    Join our Sixth Form

    Ages 16 – 18

    As young adults, our Sixth Formers enjoy studying and socialising in their own Sixth Form Centre, bringing with it greater independence, support from the Sixth Form team and House tutors, the advantages of small teaching groups, and the opportunity to take on leadership and volunteer roles.
