Results Day 2026
If you are collecting GCSE, Cambridge Technical or A Level results from Wolverhampton Grammar School this summer — we wish you the very best of luck. We know how much effort has gone into reaching this point, and we are here to support you every step of the way.

Thursday 13th August 2026
A Level and Cambridge Technical Results
- Results release: subject grades ONLY will be available on Firefly from around 8:00am.
- In-person collection: students are strongly encouraged to collect their results in person from Big School between 9:00am and 10:00am, where you will also receive your Statement of Results, including a breakdown of marks by component, together with the relevant grade boundaries.
- Support on the day: senior staff will be available to offer guidance and support, including advice around university places, Clearing, and next steps.
- University applicants: if UCAS Track shows that you have not been accepted by either your Firm or Insurance choice, please contact the School from 8:00am to arrange an appointment with a member of the Sixth Form team.
- Follow-up support: staff will be available from 9:00am for non-urgent appointments on results day and the following day for students and families who would like further guidance. Appointments can be arranged via School Reception.
- Uncollected results: any results not collected by 3:00pm on results day will be posted home.

Post-results services
Information about Reviews of Results, Access to Scripts, and the deadlines for submitting applications for these services will be provided with your results and made available on Firefly.

GCSE Results
- Results release: subject grades ONLY will be available on Firefly from around 8:00am.
- In-person collection: students are strongly encouraged to collect their results from Big School between 9:00am and 10:00am, where you will also receive your Statement of Results, including a breakdown of marks by component, together with the relevant grade boundaries.
- Sixth Form guidance: staff will be available throughout the morning to offer advice on Sixth Form subject choices and next steps.
- Subject discussions and changes: appointments are available from 10:00am onwards for students wishing to review or amend their Sixth Form options. These can be booked via School Reception. Some students may receive a pre-arranged appointment time with their results and/or a call from School – please check results envelopes and email carefully.
- Further support: staff will also be available on the following day for any ongoing conversations or guidance.
- Uncollected results: any results not collected by 3:00pm on results day will be posted home.

If You Are Unable to Attend
If you are unable to collect your results in person:
- For confidentiality reasons, results cannot be shared by email or over the phone.
- Results will be posted to your home address unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.
- A third party may collect your results on your behalf, only if the School’s Candidate Consent form has been completed and returned to Mrs Sohal before the end of term.
